What does the true meaning of the word 'domestic' mean away?
Why are we referred to as "Domestic Engineers" these days?
Definition: 'Domestic'
According to the Noah Websters' 1828 Dictionary....the word "domestic" means:
1. "Belonging to the house, or home; pertaining to one's place of residence, and to the family; as domestic concerns; domestic life; domestic duties; domestic affairs; domestic contentions; domestic happiness; domestic worship."
2. "Remaining much at home."
I believe that about sums up the heart of this website ~ "Homemakers Haven"....
Being a stay-at-home momma-prenuer™, in my opinion is one of the most important duties that we are called to do. May I also say, it is probably one of the hardest and least recognized "jobs" in our society today and we as "Homemakers" need to stand up and say "Thank You God that you have called me to being a Domestic Engineer."
